Roles Activities 

The Jharkhand State Tribal Co-operative Development Corporation Ltd; Ranchi is an apex institution of Tribal/ Forest Labour Co-operative Society registered under Co-operative Act 1935 with a vision to serve the Tribal population in many ways through the affiliated Cooperative Societies, LAMPS, PACS.

(i) Traditional Role :
Procurement and sale of Traditional Agro Forestry Products & undertake development work for the Scheduled Tribes/ Schedule Caste/ Backward Classes of Jharkhand.
(ii) Specified Role and Present Activities :
Procurement of Minor Forest Produce and Surplus Agricultural Produce like Tamarind/ Mahua Flower/ Chironjee/ Barbatti/ Tassar Cocoon etc. through LAMPS and Tribal Cooperative
Societies.
  • Marketing with the help of TRIFED & NAFED AT THE APEX ORGANISATION, Govt. of India and through other recognized agencies.
  • Motivating groups & individuals to pursue income generating economic activities and securing loan on their behalf from Financial Institutions like NSTFDC/ NBCFDC/ NMDFC/ NHFDC against State Govt. Guarantee and Government assistance as Subsidy.
  • Organise group trainings in income generating activities with support of Govt. of India, State Govt., NSTFDC/ NBCFDC/ NMDFC/ NHFDC and securing loans and other assistance for placement after completion of their training.
  • Propagate TRIBAL ART/HANDICRAFTS by participating in Exhibition held at State/ National Level.
  • Run production -cum– training Centre, Showrooms & Sale outlets for the benefit of targeted group in the State.
